Amidst the impressive Borana Conservancy lays a beautiful luxury home called ‘Lengishu’ characterized by magnificent views over the African bush.

This private conservancy in a remote area of Northern Kenya is the country’s most successful rhino sanctuary with a thriving black and white rhino population. Several years ago the land was transformed from ranching into a conservancy committed to the conservation of endangered wildlife. The area now boasts 106 black and 98 white rhino, making it arguably one of the best places in Kenya to see rhino.

Although rhino tracking is one of the most popular activities at Borana, there is so much more wildlife to see! It is the home of the Big Five and also one of the best places for birdwatching in East Africa. Safari adventures include walking safaris, horseback safaris, mountain biking and game drives in open-top safari vehicles, all accompanied by your own private guide. Another highlight is sundowners under an African sky at ‘Pride Rock’, a rock that is said to have inspired the famous rock in Disney’s film The Lion King.

Lengishu is a private luxury home for up to 12 guests looking for exclusivity, privacy and a peaceful refuge from everyday life. This authentic Kenyan home can only be booked as an exclusive-use home, perfect for families or small groups of friends.

The property features six stylish bedrooms within four cottages, the Upper and Lower Cottages, Fish Eagle and Goshawk. The interiors are tastefully decorated with splashes of beautiful Kenyan design and all rooms face east over the valley below offering spectacular sunrise views.

Stay: At least 3 nights to experience the conservancy & activities on offer.
Accessible by: Fly & Transfer (flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Lewa Downs airstrip, followed by a 1,5 hours’ drive to Borana with possible game viewing along the way). There is also an airstrip on the ranch which is used by charter planes and this is only a 10-15 minute drive away.
